Community Assistance: Gifts of Hope

Bringing Joy to Local Children and Families at Christmas

Last Christmas, the kindness and generosity of our community helped ensure that more than 1,900 children and teens woke up to the joy of finding a special gift waiting for them under the tree.

Every toy donated, every gift purchased, and every financial contribution helps make Christmas brighter for local families who may be facing difficult circumstances. We are deeply grateful for the support of our donors, volunteers, and community partners. We simply couldn't do this without you.

Giving Families the Gift of Choice

Eligible families, from across the Central Okanagan, who are registered through our Gifts of Hope program are invited to visit our Toy Rooms and personally select gifts for their children. Rather than receiving pre-packed parcels, parents and caregivers can choose presents that reflect their children's unique interests, personalities, and needs.

This meaningful shopping experience helps preserve dignity, empowers families, and creates lasting Christmas memories. Many parents tell us that being able to choose gifts for their children themselves brings a sense of joy, pride, and hope during the Christmas season.

How You Can Help

Support the Gifts of Hope program by donating new, unwrapped toys or making a financial contribution.

Toy donations can be dropped off at either of The Salvation Army's Kelowna or Westbank locations. Kelowna: 1480 Sutherland Avenue | Westbank: Unit 101 - 3531 Old Okanagan Hwy.

Financial gifts can be made in person or online. Your generosity helps ensure local children and families experience hope, joy, and dignity at Christmas.

Together, we can help make Christmas a season of connection, celebration, and lasting memories for local families.

Thank you for helping bring hope to our community, one gift at a time. 🎄❤️
