Emergency Disaster Services

Providing Hope When it Matters Most
Disasters can strike without warning, leaving individuals, families, and entire communities facing uncertainty, loss, and overwhelming challenges. In these difficult moments, The Salvation Army's Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) team is ready to respond with practical assistance, compassionate care, and emotional support.
In the Central Okanagan, we work alongside Emergency Support Services (ESS), first responders, and community partners to assist those affected by wildfires, natural disasters, and other emergencies. From serving meals and refreshments to frontline responders, to providing support at evacuation and reception centres, our team is committed to meeting urgent needs wherever they arise.
Our highly trained volunteers deliver a coordinated and compassionate response, helping individuals and families find reassurance, dignity, and hope during some of life's most challenging circumstances. When disaster strikes, we stand ready to help communities begin the journey toward recovery.
