Following Jesus, Caring for Our Community

The Salvation Army is an international Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

At Okanagan Central Community Church & Ministries (OC3), we believe gathering together on Sundays and connecting in smaller faith communities are essential to growing in our relationship with Jesus and one another. But being the Church also means living out our faith beyond those gatherings.

Through our worship gatherings, small groups, children and youth ministries, thrift stores, and community ministries, we seek to share the love of Jesus, build meaningful relationships, meet practical needs, and see lives transformed.

When and where we meet

Our worship services are held every Sunday at 10.30 AM. We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds to come together in worship and fellowship.
Worship Service: Sunday at 10:30 AM

What do worship gatherings look like?

Our worship gatherings are a time for the entire church family to come together, sing praises, hear uplifting messages, and connect with God and one another. Services typically include contemporary worship music, scripture readings, prayer, and a powerful sermon that speaks to real-life challenges. Whether you're new to church or have been attending for years, you'll find a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

Kids' activities during worship

We believe in nurturing the faith of all generations. While you engage in worship, your children will have a safe and fun place to learn about God in age-appropriate ways. Our kids' ministry offers programs for children of all ages, from toddlers to pre-teens, with activities that include Bible stories, crafts, music, and games. Our dedicated volunteers ensure that your kids are cared for and engaged during the service.

Frequently asked questions

  • What can I expect?

Come expecting to meet Jesus! Through our prayers and songs and a relevant message from the Bible, you will have the opportunity to meet with the Lord and to worship him. Whether you are a long-time believer or just exploring what Christianity is, you are welcome.
  • How early should I get there?

Our service starts at 10:30 AM at 1480 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna. Most people arrive anywhere from 10:00 to 10:30 AM. If you discover that the parking lot is full, the lot across the road (beside Valoroso Foods), is our overflow parking; feel free to use it.
  • What should I wear?

You’ll find people in jeans, skirts, shorts, as well as suits. We believe what’s on the inside of a person is more important than what is worn on the outside.
  • What do I need to know about Giving Money?

Tithes and offerings are an expression of thanksgiving and are part of Worship. This helps with our ability to offer church ministry. If you are new to our church we do not expect you to give. For regular attenders you can tithe via the offering plate or you can set up direct deposit using this form.
  • How many services are there?

Our 10:30 AM church service was intentionally chosen as the sole Sunday service to maximize community and togetherness with one another. Additional services are offered to celebrate special times, including Easter Good Friday and Christmas Eve.
  • Is the service livestreamed?

At Okanagan Central Community Church & Ministries, we firmly believe in being present, sharing freely without fear, and being in a community with one another in-person. This is why we have intentionally chosen to not livestream our church services to ensure the safety and genuineness of our congregation.
  • Is child & pre-teen care offered during the services?

Children and Youth are always welcome at Okanagan Central Community Church. We offer children's church, during our Sunday morning worship services, allowing kids to worship and learn in creative, fun ways.
